Tuskegee Airman Benjamin Davis, Jr
This tee celebrates Benjamin Oliver Davis Jr. (1912–2002). Davis was a U.S Air Force general and commander during World War II of the Tuskegee Airmen. He was the first African-American general officer in U.S. Air Force history. In 1998, he was promoted to four-star general. Davis led the 99th Fighter Squadron and the 332nd Fighter Group in WW2, better known as the Tuskegee Airmen, which escorted bomber missions over Europe. Davis flew sixty missions. Davis' father, Benjamin O. Davis Sr. was the first Black general in U.S. Army history. Wear this with pride or don't wear it at all.
